“Every scout deserves a trained leader.”
To be “TRAINED” new scout leaders must complete: Youth Protection Training,
Scout Master Leader Specific Training (SMLST), as well as Scout Master Outdoor Leader Skills Training (SMOLST).
To assure you receive credit for this training, please be sure and complete the volunteer registration process with your pack or troop BEFORE attending this training.
Volunteers should have completed “Youth Protection Training” on-line at the BSA Website:

WHAT: Outdoor Leader Skills training is the second part of the Scout Master basic training
program that is taken after completion of the Scout Master Leader Specific Skills training.
It is a full weekend training that will introduce you to all the essential outdoor skills a
scout must know to become a First Class Scout. All Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters should attend this training. Completion of both Leader Specific Training AND
Outdoor Leader Skills will earn you the “TRAINED” patch to wear on your uniform.
WHERE: Camp Pellissippi (Get Map from Council Office or on registration link above)
WHEN: Check in 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 8. Check out no later than 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10.
COST: $50.00 covers all food, consumable supplies and educational materials for the weekend.
Registration: Register and pay registration fee at scout office by no later than March 5th at 5pm or online. There will be no late registration for this event as commissary materials will be purchased on that date.
