Calling All Sea Scouts!
The Great Smoky Mountain Council is now accepting applications for Council Boatswain for the 2026 term, beginning February 1. This youth-led leadership role is a unique opportunity to serve Sea Scouting at the council level—supporting Ships, strengthening programs, and helping chart the course for Sea Scouting across East Tennessee.
Eligible Sea Scouts are invited to submit a completed application and cover letter by January 15, 2026. Self-nominations are welcome, and those not selected for Boatswain may be considered for a Boatswain’s Mate position.
