We will be working on some of the outdoor requirements for the four merit badges. Participants will need to have the skill and stamina to do at least a 10-mile backpacking hike each day. Day four is only a ten-mile hike starting early. We will be tent camping somewhere on Camp Buck Toms each night but will be within walking distance of the main camp to take advantage of any late afternoon and/or early evening camp programs or social activities. We will also be cooking our own meals in our campsite. We will also store some equipment in our campsite, and no one will be expected to carry a sixty+ pound pack. |
