Come be a part of the GSMC Service Patrol and join a dedicated team of volunteers who meet weekly to help maintain and improve the program areas and facilities of our camps.
Whether you are skilled with tools or just eager to lend a hand, your efforts will make a lasting impact on the camp and the Scouts who use it.
Get your name on the contact list to receive weekly invites to participate, you decide which projects you are interested in and what time of the year fits your schedule the best. We plan on making Wednesday as the group day. But if you see a project that you can help with and want to come on another day then by all means come on down.
We will teach some awesome trade skills, provide various OTJT (on the job training) with hands-on experience. No matter your skill level and availability, you are welcome to come and participate.
Here are some examples of the work you’ll be helping with:
- Trail maintenance and clearing
- Program area development and improvement
- Basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs
- Seasonal lawn care and landscaping
- Equipment repair and upkeep
Every bit of help makes a difference. Join us and make your mark at camp – click HERE to let us know of your interest in helping. You will begin receiving emails with details of dates, times, and projects. It’s as easy as that!
