Training and Safety
Scouting America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for youth members. To maintain such an environment, the Scouting America has developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Scout BSA, and Venturing programs.
Safeguarding Youth Training is required for all Scouting America registered volunteers and must be repeated every two years. It is also strongly recommended for all parents. The online course is free and takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.
