Unit Elections are how youth members become candidates for the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society. Pellissippi Lodge strives to complete a unit election to every troop, crew, and ship in the Great Smoky Mountain Council.
You can request an election in two ways, via this link, or by reaching out to your Chapter Elections adviser here. Either way, we will then work to schedule a unit election with your unit.
Our unit election season runs year round from January through December. This allows all unit elections to be conducted at the convenience of the unit based on their scouts eligibility. Note: Only one election may be held per calendar year.
Only unit elections conducted by a chapter delegation and reported to the lodge will be considered valid. To be consistent with the National OA Guide to Unit Elections, any election conducted autonomously by a unit will not be considered valid by the lodge.
If you have any questions or to nominate an Adult, please contact our Lodge Unit Elections Chair, Pete Lloyd at lloydpd@bellsouth.net. The official procedures for unit elections and induction into the OA can be found in the Unit Elections Handbook on the national OA website.
