2024 GSMC Bruce Atkins Golf Tournament

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

The Great Smoky Mountain Council’s responsibility is to focus on community resources by providing training, activities, support, facilities, and inspiration to volunteer adults who deliver this quality experience to all families involved in the twenty-one county service area.

This special event is dedicated as a living memorial to Bruce Atkins, Scout Executive who served the Great Smoky Mountain Council from May 1976 until his death in December 1982. Its purpose is to help maintain a strong positive image of the Boy Scouts among area business leaders and to promote additional sources of funding for our Scouting program in East Tennessee.
