Unit Elections are how youth members become candidates for the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society. Pellissippi Lodge strives to complete a unit election to every troop, crew, and ship in the Great Smoky Mountain Council.
You can request an election in two ways, via this link (Click Here), or by reaching out to your Chapter Elections advisor. Either way, we will then work to schedule a unit election with your unit.
Our unit election season runs from January through mid April. This allows all of the unit elections to be conducted and the results to be processed by the lodge in time for candidates to register for the Spring Induction.
Please note that only unit elections conducted by a lodge or chapter delegation and reported to the lodge within two months will be considered valid. To be consistent with the National OA Guide to Unit Elections, any election conducted autonomously by a unit will not be considered valid by the lodge.
If you have any questions or the nominate an Adult, please contact our Lodge Unit Elections Chair, Dan Jarvis, at jarvisdan56@gmail.com. The official procedures for unit elections and induction into the OA can be found in the Guide to Unit Elections on the national OA website.
