Personal Information

Born: Knoxville, TN

Family Info: Wife Ashley and sons Wyatt & Walker.

Education: studied Forestry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville

Hobbies/Interests: In his free time, Mic loves to go hiking and camping with his Family.

Scouting Experience

Mic Mullins is an Eagle Scout, and he earned his Ordeal and Brotherhood with Pellissippi Lodge. Upon graduation, he returned to working at Philmont Scout Ranch running their Forestry and GIS programs. He spent 10 years working seasonally at Philmont Scout Ranch doing many different jobs including Philmont Ranger Backpacking Guide, Ranger Trainer, Camp Director, Winter Guide, and Associate Director of Conservation program. In 2011, his love of Scouting prompted him to move from Park City, UT to Richmond, VA to serve in the role of Council Program Director serving as the Reservation Director for the Heart of Virginia Scout Reservation, and the Camp Director of Camp T. Brady Saunders and Cub Adventure Camp. He achieved his Vigil honor with Nawakwa Lodge #3 where he served as the staff advisor from 2012 – 2022.

 

He serves as the Program Director for the Great Smoky Mountain Council where he works to provide a quality outdoor program. He serves as the Camp Director of Camp Buck Toms and as the Staff Advisor for the Pellissippi Lodge #230 Order of the Arrow.
