Join us for our Inaugural Council-wide Eagle Eye Cub Scouts Shooting Sports Event, at the TWRA Hunter Education Center (2327 Rifle Range Road) on November 4. Non-BSA members should also complete the Hold Harmless agreement.

The goal of this event is to provide a Safe and Fun environment where youth in grades K-5 can enjoy using slingshots and BB Guns and Bow and Arrows to their heart’s content.

The event is open to currently registered Scouts AND to non-Scouts who want to “come and see” what the FUN is all about.

The event format is “drop-in” (anytime between when registration starts at 9:30am until 5:30pm) – BUT – this is not a “drop-off” (an adult MUST stay with each youth – regardless of age – for the entirety of the time they are on property)

Each $10 registration includes a one-of-a-kind specially design patch that is sure to become a collector’s item. (additional patches might be available for purchase at $5 each IF supplies last). The walk-on fee on the day of the event is $15 per youth who plans to participate.

Activities and Options will include:

  • BB Guns
  • Archery
  • Slingshots
  • Crafts (donated by Home Depot, Kingston Pike)
  • STEM Scouts Info and Demo Table
  • Food Trucks and Vendors will be onsite with reasonably priced options that families can purchase. Planned options include:
    • Order of the Arrow (OA) Food Tent
    • Kona Ice
    • BBQ
    • And More!!
  • Re-enactors
  • Knoxville Fire Department Fire Safety House
  • GSMC Climbing Wall (subject to weather conditions)

Special Note: Each participant will receive an event “passport” that they can use to track their activity scores. The passport can also be used to verify that Scouts have completed the additional requirements to earn the Cub Shooting Sports Award for their grade/rank. These additional patches can be purchased onsite – while supplies last – for $5 each.
