FAMILY NIGHT VIRTUAL CAMPFIRE

We need your videos to create our virtual campfire program!

Show everyone your Scout Spirit by making a video of your favorite song, skit, skill, run-on, or story using what you have at home – family members, props, musical instruments or costumes.  Try getting creative and record a skit with friends and family using the recording features of ZOOM or your favorite video chat app.  We will accept individual and group submissions from Scouts and Scouters of all ages.  Youth must have permission of and work with their parent/guardian to submit.

Videos should be 3 minutes or less and will be reviewed by a selection committee for inclusion in the final 45-minute program.  All submissions may be featured on the Virtual ScoutFest 2020 Facebook Event Page and website, with some selected to be included in our Virtual Campfire.

ADULT SCOUTER RATTLIN’ BOG CHALLENGE

If you know this classic tune and are willing to record yourself singing one of the verses with the refrain email contact below.  You will receive an email response with the lyrics for a designated verse, along with a reference video, for you to video and submit.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Youth must have permission of a parent/guardian to submit.
  2. If using a mobile device, film in landscape mode.
  3. Wear your BSA Uniform or costume if you can.
  4. Consider the lighting, visual background, and background noise of your video’s outdoor or indoor setting.
  5. Begin the video by briefly introduction yourself including:
    * Your Name
    * Your unit’s community, type and number (ex. Knoxville, Pack 999)
    * The name of the song, skit, story, stunt, talent, etc.
  6. Watch and listen to your video before you submit it so you send in your best one.

TALENT RELEASE

By submitting my video or photos I hereby assign and grant to the Great Smoky Mountain Council, the Cherokee Area Council, the Blue Grass Council and the Boy Scouts of America, as well as their authorized representatives, the right and permission to use and publish the photographs/film/ videotapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings made of me or my child at all Scouting activities, and I hereby release the Boy Scouts of America, the local council, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with the activity from any and all liability from such use and publication. I further authorize the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage, and/or distribution of said photographs/film/videotapes/ electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of the BSA and I specifically waive any right to any compensation I may have for any of the foregoing.
